Joanne Mahoney
Joanne Mahoney's contemporary mixed media works have evolved over the last few years and could be described as interdisciplinary mixed media. Using watercolour, acrylics, oil, Cold Wax Medium, collage and the many different processes used in printmaking, she creates unique individual pieces, often seen in her intimate and intriguing collage art works. All these practices now have a place in her art, using them as collage—she loves the idea of repurposing found materials, prints and paintings. Her time spent living in Asia, followed by residing in the beautiful coastal environment of the Coromandel back in New Zealand, often influences her work. Joanne's studio is open by appointment at 197 Aubin Close, Pirongia, Waikato.
